Both smartphones boast a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, where the S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch screen and the S23 has a 6.1-inch screen. Both displays support 1750 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of resolution, the S23 Ultra supports 1440×3088 px QHD+, while the S23 supports 1080×2340 px FHD+.
The S23 Ultra’s QHD+ resolution is generally better than FHD+. QHD has a higher pixel count than FHD, which provides sharper images compared to FHD.
Processor:
Both smartphones run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, built on a 4nm process. This chipset is designed to boost gaming, improve power efficiency, enhance 5G performance, and support AI features. It also comes with a dedicated AI engine and a built-in 5G modem.
AnTuTu Score: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 scores around 1,110,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks, highlighting its strong performance.
CPU Details: The processor has an Octa-Core setup:
1 Cortex-X3 core running at up to 3.36 GHz (used in overclocked versions),
4 performance cores (2 Cortex-A715 and 2 Cortex-A710) running at 2.8 GHz,
3 efficiency cores (Cortex-A510) running at 2.0 GHz.
This structure balances high performance with efficient power usage.
Graphics: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses the Adreno 740 GPU, which supports advanced gaming technologies like ray tracing and delivers excellent graphics quality.
Camera:
Moving to the cameras, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is built with a quad-camera setup, while the Galaxy S23 5G is built with a triple-camera setup.
There is a big difference in the main camera: the S23 Ultra features a 200MP main camera, while the S23 has a 50MP main sensor. However, both smartphones’ Ultra Wide (12MP), Telephoto (10MP), and front camera (12MP) lenses are the same in resolution. The Galaxy S23 Ultra also includes another lens, a 10MP f/4.9 sensor.
In terms of cameras, the S23 Ultra is better than the S23 5G smartphone. The S23 Ultra has two telephoto sensors, while the S23 has only one. Even for low-light photography, the S23 Ultra will not disappoint you and captures very sharp images. The 200MP sensor is a larger pixel lens than the 50MP, making it undoubtedly better than the S23.
Battery:
In terms of battery, the S23 Ultra has a bigger battery capacity than the S23. The S23 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery, while the S23 has a 3900mAh battery.
Connectivity:
Moving to connectivity, both smartphones support Dual SIM slots, VoLTE, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3.
However, in terms of Wi-Fi, the S23 Ultra supports Wi-Fi 6, while the S23 supports Wi-Fi 6E. If we look at the difference between these two, Wi-Fi 6E is considered better than Wi-Fi 6. It offers faster speeds and includes the another 6GHz frequency band.
